Position Description: | The Department of Health and Human Physiology at the University of Iowa invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure instructional track faculty appointment for the 2023-2024 academic year, beginning August 16, 2023, renewable for a total of three years (2023-2026), and renewable in one-, two-, or three-year increments thereafter. Applicants will be considered at the levels of Lecturer, Associate Professor of Instruction, or Professor of instruction; rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Duties of this position will include didactic teaching and overseeing a new health coaching training program that has been approved by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Applications are sought from candidates with a demonstrated potential for excellent teaching in the areas of health coaching, health communication, community wellness, and lifestyle medicine. Duties of this position include teaching, service to the department, and professional productivity.
