Job Description:
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Academic Advising Center (AAC) at the University
of Florida seeks candidates for a Lecturer to coordinate and deliver various programmatic and curricular aspects of the college’s program
(Beyond120) focused on undergraduate research. This is a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure accruing, renewable position. The Lecturer will
have an appreciation of a liberal arts education and provide individual guidance to CLAS students as they evaluate career paths and pursue
experiential learning and industry-related experiences (non-profit, public, and private sectors) while planning for full-time employment
options. As a Lecturer, the candidate will be responsible for:

As the largest college on campus, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is charged with teaching the
university’s core curriculum. We are home to the humanities, the social and behavioral sciences, and the physical, natural, and mathematical
sciences.
Nearly every UF undergraduate takes at least one class in our college. However, educating tomorrow’s leaders is not the
only task occupying our over 800 faculty.

Salary:
The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:
Master’s Degree in relevant field that applies to working with students in liberal arts and sciences.
Preferred
Qualifications:
PhD in a CLAS-related non-STEM subject preferred
An understanding of liberal arts and sciences career paths
and a desire to promote the career and professional development of liberal arts and sciences students
Previous experience working
with diverse populations
Strong interpersonal and instructional skills
Project management skills and a demonstrated ability
to set priorities among competing demands.
