The Marsico Institute for Early Learning is housed in the Morgridge College of Education (MCE) at the University of Denver. We have dedicated ourselves to improving learning environments and outcomes for children, birth to age 8 by identifying the best in early learning research, practice, and policy.
Position Summary
The Marsico Institute for Early Learning is seeking a Senior Research Associate to take the lead in managing several grants and contracts, with an emphasis on designing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive coaching program for early childhood education professionals. This role encompasses fostering a supportive learning environment and empowering other coaches to excel in their roles. The Senior Research Associate will be responsible for helping to set the vision, strategy, and execution of the coaching program.
In addition to this, the Senior Research Associate will oversee the implementation of various research studies, which includes training on and supervising classroom observations and child assessments; managing the process of data cleaning, entry, and coding; ensuring inter-rater reliability; conducting and supporting data analyses; and leading the creation of written works, presentations, and progress reports. Reporting directly to the Associate Director and Executive Director for each grant and contract they manage, the Senior Research Associate will be a key figure in advancing the institute’s research agenda.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 12.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $72,000-$85,000
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
