Position Summary
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Denver is looking to hire adjunct instructors to teach a variety of courses in topics including but not limited to Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. This posting will serve for multiple openings.

Fall Quarter Runs from September to November/December 2023 (approximately)
Winter Quarter runs from January to March 2024 (approximately)

Work Schedule
While the University’s administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. The University’s academic calendars are posted on the registrar’s website (the law school is on a semester system and has a different academic calendar).

Course Rate
Adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $5,613.00 per course, for standard courses in the ECE department for Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters.
Pay for Summer courses is based on enrollment. If you are selected to teach for Summer, you will be informed of the Summer Pay Scale at that time. Enrollment below 3 deems that the class should be canceled and no teaching nor compensation will be allowed.
PLEASE NOTE: Teaching the Undergrad and Grad section of the same course counts as a single course load and you will be compensated $5,613.00 for both sections.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status
