JOB SUMMARY
The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant (University Educational Assistant 3), to provide complex scheduling and logistical support, including all arrangements and activities (including financial) related to executive meetings and travel (domestic and international) while preserving confidentiality and exercising discretion in performing assigned responsibilities. This position reports to the Executive Assistant of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship and requires the ability to multi-task with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Successful candidates are expected to possess mature organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. This is a confidential staff position expected to maintain positive public relations, serve as an essential point of contact for the OVPR, and exhibit discretion, sound judgment, and acumen in carrying out responsibilities.

APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, confidential exempt position with an excellent benefits package including medical and retirement, as well as employee and dependent tuition waivers at the University of Connecticut. A hybrid schedule of telecommuting may be possible in accordance with the University’s Alternate Work Arrangements policies. The target start date for this position is July 28, 2023. The salary for this range position is low to mid-fifties, commensurate with experience.
