JOB SUMMARYThe Office of Clinical Placement Coordination supports contract and compliance aspects of clinical student placements for undergraduate, certificate and graduate students, and faculty across programs at UConn, including Allied Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Nursing, Pharmacy, Psychological Sciences, Social Work, and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and other programs as designated. The incumbent in this position will assist in the administration of both the compliance and contracts coordination for designated programsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews student, faculty, and preceptor clinical placement requirements (i.e. immunizations, background checks, drug testing, etc.) for accuracy and compliance with program and site policies and procedures for designated schools and programs.Using extant databases, advises and assists with verification of student, faculty, and preceptor clinical placement requirements and follows up to ensure all are in compliance with established and required deadlines, required documents are sent to site agencies, and onboarding procedures have been diligently followed for designated schools and programs.Negotiates, creates, reviews, and evaluates contracts with required documentation and tracks revisions; applies general and/or specialized legal and compliance knowledge, regulations, rules, and practices developed through education and experience.Serves as a resource to students, staff, preceptors, faculty, and external agencies regarding clinical placement contracts and provides assistance resolving problems.Facilitates the development or renewal of affiliation agreements and contract terms for student clinical placements, in collaboration with healthcare and community agencies; reviews, tracks, and updates contracts with adherence to local, state, federal, and international policies and restrictions and accrediting organization guidelines.Reviews and updates training materials as needed, ensuring all student communication meets the current requirements.Provides reports on student compliance status or other compliance related items to designated programs on a regular and ad hoc basis.Facilitates payment and tracks fees required to execute and/or comply with clinical contracts.Performs related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Three to four years of related professional experience with compliance and contract activities.
• Experience working in higher education with students, staff, and faculty.
• Demonstrated experience working with individuals external to their current organization.
• Demonstrated skills with relevant databases.
• Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, and the ability to work within tight and conflicting deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with a wide variety of constituents, especially students, faculty, and external agencies.
• Excellent accurate and timely written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior integrity and the ability to operate within and maintain a confidential environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Five years of relevant professional experience, primarily facilitating student clinical compliance in a university setting and establishing contracts with practice entities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of university, clinical site, and state, federal, and international regulations.
• Experience with LegalFiles, Core-Elms, American DataBank, and/or related clinical database software.
