Description The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of
Colorado Colorado Springs invites applications for a non-tenure track full-time instructor (1.0 FTE – benefits eligible) position starting
in August 2023. Duties may include teaching analytical chemistry labs and instrumental analysis labs (including lab preparation and setup)
and/or lectures, with other courses possible. The preferred applicant is experienced with explanation and execution of common experimental
methods related to analytical chemistry, including (but not limited to): titration, spectroscopy, chromatography, mass spectrometry, and
electrochemistry. Further, the preferred applicant is comfortable with demonstrating, teaching, and generally fostering scientific and
technical writing skills among their students. Full load is 24 contact hours per 9-month academic year. Job competencies include:
1) strong communication skills, 2) well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills, 3) the ability to work independently
and as part of a team, 4) demonstration of initiative and sound judgment, 5) the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines, 6) Digital
Literacy, and 7) a commitment to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion. The normal workload for this position is 95% teaching and 5%

Location: On-site Remote work will be available for emergency events. This will be offered based on the emergency and allowance
will come from leadership and the guidelines provided at the time of the emergency. This position has been determined to be exempt from the
overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). What We Offer: Salary generally starting at $47,123 per
academic year. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to,
internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
