Job Summary
The Outreach Sites Project Manager uses skills as a seasoned and experienced administrative operations professional to manage, plan and administer the operations of a small to mid-sized academic or non-academic organizational unit with limited scope. Reports directly to the Department’s Chief Administrative Officer. They will perform short- and long-term planning for the department outreach sites. May supervise staff or students. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Department Description
The Department of Neurosurgery is a highly active clinical and research department in the School of Medicine, with annual patient charges of over $50M with annual collections of $16 million year. The Department has 51 full-time faculty working as clinicians and/or basic research scientists, 3 recall faculty, 16 volunteer faculty, 34 non-faculty academics, 40 postdoctoral scholars, 19 residents, 4 clinical fellows, 10 graduate students and approximately 143 administrative, clinic and research staff. The Department of Neurological Surgery is one the largest recipients of Federal grant funds in the School of Medicine, UCSF. The department conducts its clinical, teaching, and research activities at four UCSF campuses: Parnassus, Mt. Zion, Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, San Francisco General Hospital and the Helen Diller Cancer Building at Mission Bay. Faculty and staff are located at the Parnassus and Mission Bay Campuses as well as SFGH and the VA. The Department also maintains clinical outreach extensions in Marin, Napa and in San Francisco (Dignity Health Medical Centers).
