Position Description:
Strategy, Planning, and Operations leads and manages a large and complex portfolio of IT projects and programs while establishing partnerships and stakeholder engagement efforts with students, faculty, staff, and external partners on behalf of the IT organization. The Strategy, Planning, and Operations Office also manages organizational initiatives and efforts, including general administrative functions, financial management and budgeting, vendor management and licensing, billing, internal communications, department human resources, talent management, and culture development.
This Administrative team within ITS oversees financial management, human resources, and office administration for the department. They collaborate with different departments to reduce IT and business process costs, follow financial best practices, and manage billing for all IT services. Additionally, they handle the day-to-day HR operations for the IT department, including recruitment, training, and performance management. They strive to create a cohesive culture within the IT organization that
promotes excellent service delivery and successful external business interactions.
The Supervisor, Office Administration will be responsible for managing the administrative and support functions within the ITS organization and providing leadership and direction to the team of administrative assistants. The Supervisor will regularly assess performance and efficacy of the office administration team, working with senior ITS leaders to ensure consistent and excellent administrative support is provided. This role will manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including scheduling, workflow, and customer service, and provide guidance on administrative policies and procedures. This will include management of calendars, communications, purchasing, workspace coordination, event planning, and other special projects. The Supervisor will also be responsible for overseeing the management of office resources and ensuring that all office processes are up-to-date and in compliance with university policies and regulations. The Supervisor will develop and implement policies and procedures related to IT administrative functions. They will collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of IT administrative functions.
The Supervisor, Office Administration will positively impact UCLA’s operations and culture by enabling IT projects and programs in service of the university’s academic mission. This team member will advance the University’s mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students. This role will execute UCLA’s vision while modeling UCLA’s culture and values.
Special Instructions:
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that includes regular visits to campus as needed (for those who work remotely, travel/lodging expenses are not eligible for reimbursement).
The anticipated pay range for this position is $83,000 – $119,400; the salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.
