Position Description:
These positions support the Department of Film, Television & Digital Media’s revenue-generating Summer Programs. All positions work directly with the Director of Summer Programs to provide programmatic and administrative support for Special Programs, including assisting with curricular planning, scheduling, marketing, academic field trips, screenings, and special events. The positions also provide faculty and TA support, guidance for all personnel on CANRA training and background checks, and tracking and implementing financial expenditures. The positions also provide instruction for special workshops and non-academic courses including safety training and professional development workshops. Incumbents maintain and track calendars of deadlines, events, and other important dates for the program; assist the Director in planning and executing events, and help the Director meet deadlines. Provides general administrative support to the Director including processing purchase orders and reimbursement requests, and interfacing with other TFT units such as the Business Office and I.T.
The positions work with the Director to disseminate policy decisions to students, staff, and other departmental constituents. They maintain regular communication with Production Facilities Management team members regarding curriculum, student matters, and use of space and resources. They assist Summer Institute students with procedures administered through the office of the Director, including online safety training and photo release forms. They maintain social media pages for the Film and Television Summer Institute.
Special Instructions:
This is a part-time, one year contract position. Work schedule to be arranged by the department.
