Position Description:
The mission of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is to support student development, empowerment and success through connection with dedicated clinicians who provide treatment that encourages Health, Healing and Hope. CAPS provides: Short-term, high- quality mental health treatment including assessment, consultation and case management; group and individual therapy; and psychiatry services. Campus mental health training and wellness education. Training and professional development for mental health providers. Connection to community resources and referrals
Under general supervision of the Director or designee, the Staff Social Worker supports the mission of CAPS and the University in providing the highest quality mental health services for the wide range of students at UCLA. Duties and responsibilities include counseling and psychotherapy to individuals and couples; group counseling, consultation, outreach, prevention and mental health education to the campus; emergency services; supervision; providing information and referral services. Accept overall direction from the Director or designee, and participates in meetings, committees and carries out necessary charting and data requirements. Act in a manner consistent with the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers and adheres to HIPAA requirements.
Special Instructions:
The target salary range for this position is between the posted minimum and $9,136.45 monthly.
