Director of Gift Planning
University of California Los Angeles
Requisition Number: 38807
Salary: $7,492 – $18,058 Monthly
Position Description:
Take the next step to advance your career as a valued member of UCLA’s Gift Planning team where you will be given the resources and inspiration to succeed in your work with our donors. Planned giving provides meaningful opportunities for our donors to integrate their charitable interest with their tax, estate and financial plans. As a Director of Gift Planning, your work will make a significant impact in ensuring that our donors’ philanthropy not only maximizes tax benefits and income for life, but also creates a legacy that will make a difference in areas important to them. As a member of UCLA’s Office of Gift Planning, you will become part of a dynamic, collaborative and innovative team that offers long-term opportunities for personal and professional development as part of our robust External Affairs enterprise serving UCLA.
In this role, you will qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward planned giving donors to increase individual gifts to programs campus-wide, as well as assist in growing the overall donor base. You will develop and execute long- and short-term strategies to secure both planned and major gifts from individuals in support of the University’s mission and strategic plan. You will serve as a resource to unit-based Directors of Development and other External Affairs and will work collaboratively with colleagues across campus to enhance the pool of planned and major donor prospects. Your knowledge and experience of gift planning will assist development professionals across campus in planned giving arrangements, technical information and gift planning strategies.
