Position Description:
UCLA Athletics is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director of Broadcast Operations that will lead the efforts in delivering a first-class television broadcast experience. Successful individual will be a self-motivated, team-oriented, organized, problem solver that can orchestrate live event production. The Assistant Athletic Director of Broadcast Operations will coordinate and lead all live event video broadcasts of UCLA Athletics home events and assist with in-game production elements. Position will collaborate with an extensive group of internal and external stakeholders including facility and operations, marketing, athletic communications, the Big Ten Network, the department’s multimedia rights holder, campus organizations, conference, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure the best event viewing experience possible. The position will be responsible for the design, development, execution and implementation of events as well as the staffing and training of the broadcast production room and in venue videoboards. Staffing will include a mix of full-time, part-time, and student staff that will work directly with the Big Ten Network Student U program, the conference office and UCLA. A successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, multi-purpose space within a large organization that supports an intercollegiate athletics program with 25 teams and 700 student-athletes. The individual will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the UCLA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics mission and goals, and comply with all NCAA and BIG Ten expectations. Over time, the position is expected to oversee at least 2 FTE and numerous, rotating student workers.
Special Instructions:
The budgeted hiring salary/target range for this position is the posted minimum to $10,416.67 monthly ($125,000/year), with salary placement based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
This position is also eligible for full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan.
