The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for a full-time faculty position at all ranks in the Health Sciences Clinical series.
Qualified candidates must hold an MD or equivalent, be board-eligible or certified, and have completed an ACGME-accredited vascular surgery residency or fellowship. Candidates will possess advanced open and endovascular skills, a high level of expertise in treating aortic disease, specifically complex open and endovascular repair. The candidate must be committed to UCLA’s mission to deliver leading edge patient care, research and education. While the appointment is primarily clinical, UCLA is a world-renowned research institution. We are seeking candidates who have attained or demonstrate a desire to pursue research, clinical trials, and/or extramural grant funding. A successful clinical appointment would open the possibility of application for the Wesley Moore Endovascular Endowed Chair.
The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery has a busy vascular surgical practice of open and endovascular procedures. The division performs approximately 3000 procedures per year and has about 120 patient visits per day, 5 days per week. The UCLA sites of practice include the main OR (hybrid room), ambulatory surgery center, in patient catheterization lab in the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center, as well as an office based procedure Unit/Venous Center (OBL), an accredited vascular laboratory, a wound care center, and a hyperbaric center. Other sites of practice may include Santa Monica UCLA, the Greater Los Angeles VA Hospital, and Olive View UCLA Medical Center.

The salary will be commensurate with academic rank and experience.
The posted UC salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5, at Scale 7. In accordance with AB 168 and SB 1162, the initial/base salary range for this position is $138,100 – $539,217. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (http://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
