Applies professional concepts and organizational policies towards financial and resource planning and budget control. Prepares basic budgetary analyses and forecasts for internal and limited external constituents, maintains department chart of accounts, and manages financial transactions. Works with Director and Laboratory manager to develop and implement financial strategies, including but not limited to exploring alternative business models and pricing; developing competitive marketing strategies; managing and elevating the center’s brand equity; identifying and/or implementing service, or organizational and business process improvements that align with the centers’ mission and goals. Serves as principal liaison to the administrative offices in the School of Veterinary Medicine’s Dean’s Office and campus as needed.
