Under the general supervision of the Contracts Manager, the Contracts Administrator has the independent responsibility for structuring, bidding, and executing legally binding contractual documents that establish business relationships between the University and design professionals, construction contractors, and professional consultants for UC Davis Design and Construction Management. This position is for a professional with ability to review, analyze, assemble, and administer construction and consulting contracts in compliance with applicable laws and the UC system-wide and UC Davis DCM’s standard operating practices and procedures. This position has an in-depth understanding of formal contracting methodology and terminology and can work independently and timely to ensure compliance, advise department management of contractual rights, ethics risks and obligations, and to provide interpretation of terms and conditions of contracts.
This role requires the following:
* Familiarity with small and larger-scale capital programs and the necessary legally binding process for executing the contractual relationships for such programs.
* CA2 will work independently within a group of approximately 3-5+
