Summary of Job Duties:IT Technicians configure, troubleshoot, and maintain software and hardware. They are responsible for supporting a range of technology issues for all Housing residents and staff members.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be enrolled at the University of Arkansas in current or upcoming classes
Experience with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Major in a computer related field
Basic understanding of computer networks
Cumulative GPA 2.5 or higher
Customer service experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Ability to maintain a high level of customer service while adhering to departmental and university standard operating procedures
Ability to quickly analyze computer system problems or errors and devise corrective measures
Ability to create and maintain complete and up-to-date documentation regarding the various systems and procedures used within the department
Ability to use resources appropriately
Ability to use clear and proactive verbal and written communication
Ability to work well under limited supervision and complete job duties
Good communication skills in order to interact with students and staff on a daily basis
