https://hhpr.uark.edu/Summary of Job Duties:This position is a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Public Health. This position must establish a research agenda capable of securing external funding, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and present at professional conferences. This position will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in public health, provide advising to both undergraduate and graduate students in the public health program, serve on and chair theses, dissertations, and honors projects, and provide service to the department, college, university, community, and profession.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in Public Health or closely related field conferred by the start of employment

• Record of refereed peer-reviewed publications and presentations

• Evidence of effective teaching at the collegiate level

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise and research in public health, including, but not limited to: health disparities, epidemiology, substance use, or the intersection of public health and technology

• Post-doctoral experience

• Experience working with federally funded projects supporting high-impact research

• Ability to develop an independent and collaborative research agenda and secure external funding

• Commitment to teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels
