The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Learning Commons IT Support Specialist to support the Ottenheimer Library Learning Commons. The Ottenheimer Library Learning Commons is the new home of the University Writing Center, Math Assistance Center, Communication Skills Center, and Global Languages Center, as well as general tutoring at the University. The Learning Commons IT Support Specialist is a full time benefits eligible position within the Ottenheimer Library that is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Learning Commons hardware and software support. This individual will perform installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of all computers, peripherals, and miscellaneous office equipment in the Learning Commons. Additionally, this individual will support Ottenheimer Library technology and perform after hours support as needed. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Required Qualifications– Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent of education and work experience plus a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience, including experience with customer service, computer or technology-related services, and desktop support.
Preferred Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of relevant professional experience. Experience with customer service, computer or technology-related services, desktop support, systems management and automation, computer accessibility support, and archival/library applications.
