The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (R0009661). The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (AVC) is responsible for oversight of the Student Experience Center and the Multicultural Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock). Initiatives within these centers include the UA Little Rock Summer Bridge Academy, Dr. Charles W. Donaldson Scholars Academy, Chancellor’s Leadership Corps, Multicultural Center, and Student Affairs Success Initiatives. As a senior management team member, the AVC will lead division- and university-wide teams to advance student experiences and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at UA Little Rock. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Required Education and/or Experience: Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, or related field; seven years full-time experience in Student Affairs/Higher Education to include departmental leadership, budgeting, and fiscal management, staff supervision, facility management, crisis planning, strategic planning, and assessment; experience working with a diverse population and have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and be results-oriented.
Preferred Education and/or Experience: Experience in student activities, leadership, mentoring programs, fundraising, and grant-funded programs.
