Position Highlights | A Research Technician I (Part Time) position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Shalini Sharma in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix. The incumbent will provide scientific research for the project on mechanism of splice site selection in health and disease. The successful applicant will be a well-rounded, enthusiastic individual with basic training in molecular biology, biochemistry, or biology and experience performing research in a laboratory setting. This individual should be detailed oriented, conscientious, and able to follow instructions and have the ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner orally and in writing. Preferred Qualifications | * College coursework in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field of study. * Previous experience doing research. * Experience with mammalian cell culture or molecular biology techniques including protein isolation, SDS-PAGE, PCR, Western blotting. |
