The Department of Academic Affairs at The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix is seeking a Data Analyst. As a Data Analyst, you would perform specialized analytical duties for the operation of Academic Affairs that supports and oversees the functions of the medical school’s units and offices relevant to students, curriculum, assessment, and evaluation, LCME accreditation, and continuous quality improvement. A successful applicant should be proficient in using, analyzing, and interpreting data in spreadsheets, and well versed in statistical software packages to create meaningful graphs, tables, and comprehensive reports. They should also have strong verbal and written communication skills, and work well in teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of research methodologies, particularly related to assessment and evaluation. This position will report to the Senior Associate Dean, Academic Affairs. Preferred Qualifications | * Master’s degree in a related field of study. * Experience working in Higher Education. * Understanding of higher education data models and student information systems data structures. * Three (3) years of experience building, managing, maintaining SQL databases, preferably MySQL. * Three (3) years of experience and solid understanding of Python. * Experience with software applications, such SPSS, Stata, Qualtrics, MS Office, Tableau, Power BI, Tableau, or other Analytics and Visualization tools. |
