The UHS Corporate Payroll Department is hiring a Project Leader- Accounts Payable/Payroll to function as a resource for the end users in the field with regards to processing issues. Provides education to users, assists in the conversion of the legacy payroll system for newly acquired hospitals, sets up new processing levels and assists with implementation of system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Provides support for bi-weekly payroll process for behavioral health facilities. Assists payroll coordinators with Lawson and Kronos questions and/or issues to ensure employees are paid on time and paid correctly.
• Assists in other payroll related systems issues such as Lawson LP, Absence Management, ADP (payroll and garnishments), EZ-Pay, RAS, BSI tax, Quick Charge, Shift Hound and Allscripts.
• Provides accounts payable support to field.
• Maintains Lawson and Allscripts profiles and set-ups. Builds individual processing levels in these systems for new acquisitions.
• Educates inexperienced users of Lawson and Allscripts.
• Conducts on-site training for new acquisitions, upgrades/implementations, and continual on-going training for users via phone and e-mails.
• Assists in annual and quarterly federal and state filings including year-end wage reconciliations and adjustments in preparation of W2 and 1099 reporting.
• Provides requested payroll and accounts payable information and/or reports by regional finance personnel in the gathering of information for auditors.
• Provides on-going analysis and review of Lawson and the Allscripts systems regarding modules, malfunctions, and interfaces.
• Performs gross-to-net analysis and reconciles Lawson payroll interface to general ledger.
• Leads assigned payroll and accounts payable projects and initiatives in collaboration with Manager – Payroll/Accounts Payable and successfully transitions them to the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• In lieu bachelor’s degree requirement, 2 years of college coursework and considerable experience (10 or more years) may be considered.
• Eight years’ experience in healthcare payroll process is preferred, also knowledge of accounts payable functions.
• Lawson and basic accounting are beneficial.
• Five years or more of Workday experience is required.
• UKG Dimensions experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
