Position Responsibilities/Duties
As a Casualty Claims Representative you are the face and voice of the company when our customers need us most, which is generally following an accident. We need professionals that can empathize, listen, and assist our customers, and potential customers, through the claims process.
We are searching for candidates who bring optimism to our team, deliver high quality service to our clients, and enjoy helping others. We are looking for candidates that can conduct proper claim investigations, perform thorough claim reviews, and evaluate and resolve claims within the company’s contractual and legal obligations. We want to ensure timely service, while providing appropriate and equitable resolution to insureds, claimants, and the company.
This position involves conducting thorough investigations, confirming and/or investigating policy coverage, determining liability, settling physical damage claims, evaluating and negotiating bodily injury claims, and evaluating and negotiating uninsured/underinsured motorist bodily injury claims. The candidate will also be expected to comply with management instruction and adhere to all of the company’s standards and expectations.
Telephone and electronic communications are a major part of the position activity, and includes direct communication with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair facilities, contractors, police and fire departments, state and county fraud personnel, special investigators, attorneys, members of the medical profession, and all other people incident to the investigation and processing of claims. Other duties will be can be assigned based on need.
You will primarily handle auto loss claims that originate from non-standard Arizona auto policies.
Position Requirements
The position requires excellent organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be well organized and be able to work at a fast pace independently. Candidates must be able to effectively and successfully manage multiple concurrent demands and have ability to efficiently use Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Candidates must be dependable, reliable, and work well with others. Candidates must be quick learners and be willing to adapt and learn. Having strong analytical skills and be a problem solver is a must.
Candidates will spend the bulk of their day sitting or standing at their cubicle performing their responsibilities. This includes documenting actions taken on claim files directly in to our claim system and/or e-mail program. Having the ability to type at a fast pace and interact effectively with computers and computer programs is a must.
The completion of a bachelor’s degree is desired. Successful demonstrated work experience as a claims representative for 1-2 years is preferred. The ability to fluently communicate in English and Spanish is required.
Location Requirement
We are a Provo, Utah based insurance carrier looking to hire an awesome team member that can report to our Provo, Utah office. We would consider a candidate that resides in the Greater Phoenix, Arizona Area (can work from home), if they have prior casualty claim handling experience.

Pay: $47,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
