Full Job Description

Ubique Technologies, a lead composite and fiberglass kit manufacturing facility based in Clanton, AL has an AutoCAD Designer opportunity available. This is a great opportunity for a talented AutoCAD specialist that is self-driven and detail oriented that is looking to join a growing group of committed teammates.

Overview

The AutoCAD Designer will be responsible for providing design and drafting support to the manufacturing team. The position works with a group of designers to develop patterns from provided information from the customer for the manufacturing team to produce using various types of CNC machines. The position must be able to manage multiple projects, be an effective time manager to meet project deadlines, and effectively prioritize workload with team leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support design department by utilizing AutoCAD and various other CAD software to create design layouts and visual aids to provide to customers.

• Prepare detailed shop drawings while adhering to Ubique drawing standards.

• Review completed work to check for accuracy and clarity before passing off to the next team in the design workflow.

• Support the overall drafting and design needs of all Ubique Departments (Sales, Production, Operations).

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of experience using AutoCAD

• Skilled at using 2D AutoCAD with some 3D modeling experience.

• Team member must be self-motivated

• Must be able to stay organized

• Must be detail oriented

• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions

• Overall understanding of CNC machines and CAM software solutions is a plus

• Experience using Rhino is also a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour
