Position Description: Provide guidance to assigned business units for Human Resources functions including recruiting, employee relations, talent management, training, and benefits. Serve as liaison for employees and support key management initiatives. This position will specifically have an emphasis on the HR functions for our trade employees.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
Maintains applicant tracking logs Handles benefits administration for all Trades staff Administers the employee review and merit increase process for Trades staff.
Conducts Open Enrollment benefits meetings with all Trades staff.
Handles the LOA administration process for staff.
Coordinates the Payroll process with our Financial HUB for Trades employees Manages and administers company programs, policies, and procedures.
Sources experienced candidates for placement and hiring consideration.
Creates a pipeline of potential new hires for future consideration.
Develops college recruiting schedules; participates in campus recruiting activities, including interviews Responds to employee inquiries.
Responsible for HRIS maintenance for all employee related HRIS processes
Handles matters of employee discipline and employee relations counseling.
Oversees business unit training schedule for Trades staff; provides input into training budget; suggest training for employee development.
Conducts HR-related training Represents company with outside vendors and government agencies in NC, SC and GA Serves as liaison with outside counsel on employment-related matters.
Works on succession planning; monitors career pathing program
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Assists the HR Manager(s) in all other aspects of HR as necessary or required.
