The Talent Acquisition Specialist will perform recruiting activities for the Company by fulfilling administrative support tasks related to sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and placement. In addition, it handles phone traffic, pre-screening applicants, scheduling appointments, administering pre-employment assessments, and coordinating application/new hire paperwork. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is based at the corporate office located in Sunrise, FL.

Job Duties are as follows but not limited to:

• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Ensures an ideal candidate experience consistent with our Tropic Supply brand image.
• Reviews job applications against selection criteria to continue determining suitability in the online applicant tracking system.
• Answers incoming calls
• Perform recruiting tasks, including identifying and reviewing qualified candidates and routing qualified candidates appropriately.
• Conducts initial screening to assess candidate suitability.
• Coordinates onboarding activities, including conducting background and/or reference checks, facilitating new associate hiring paperwork, certifying I9s, administering appropriate safety quizzes and/or orientation, and entering new associate data into proper systems.
• Ensures the interview process stays on track and on time.
• Assists with local job fairs, advertising, and related publicity of job opportunities.
• Seeks ways to streamline processes for operational efficiency and excellence.
• Supports company values of integrity and respect through actions and commitment.
• Reinforces and promotes a work culture that emphasizes worker safety being #1.
• Positive, professional interaction and communication with others contribute to the team’s success.

Requirements

• One to two years of recent recruitment experience
• Knowledge of an Applicant Tracking System is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task; ability to work well under pressure.
