Trinity Christian College Hiring for Vice President for Admissions, Athletics & Financial Aid at Palos Heights, IL Full Time

Trinity Christian College seeks a full-time Vice President for Admissions, Athletics and Financial Aid.  The Vice President for Admissions, Athletics, and Financial Aid is responsible for developing strategic recruitment initiatives designed to drive enrollment for the traditional undergraduate, adult undergraduate, and graduate programs. Recruitment work will integrate academic, athletic, and co-curricular recruiting as they interface with financial aid practices. Reporting to the President, the ideal candidate will have a passion for Christian higher education, the ability to operate both technically and creatively, and an enthusiasm for leading and developing teams.

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Develop strategic, creative, and data-driven recruitment plans for the traditional undergraduate, adult undergraduate, and graduate programs and support the recruitment directors in the implementation of recruitment plans.
• Guide and support the mission and practices of the athletic department, ensuring that athletics provide a premier formational and educational experience for Trinity student athletes. In collaboration with the Athletic Director, establish strategic priorities for the department, measure outcomes, and refine strategies.
• Integrate recruiting strategies across athletic, academic, and co-curricular front door opportunities. Seek opportunities to bring these three areas of the organization into integral and cohesive strategic collaboration.
• Create cross-divisional strategies that catalyze campus stakeholders in collaborative recruitment and student engagement opportunities. Exhibit a willingness to explore new models, processes, and strategies to build a recruitment strategy and practice unique to Trinity’s contexts and supportive of Trinity’s students.
• Analyze the awarding of institutional financial aid and support the director of financial aid in developing effective policies that promote equity and transparency.
• Shape campus visit and event strategies aimed at growing the impact and reach of campus visit experiences
• Support the director of admissions marketing in developing an engaging email, print, and digital marketing communication plan for prospective students
• Collaborate with the CRM developer in the management and strategic development of the admissions CRM and the use of technology and data to drive enrollment efforts
• Oversee the hiring and training of the admissions and financial aid teams and create a healthy work environment for team members to grow and develop as professionals.
• Analyze and utilize enrollment data to assess programming and make responsive, data-driven decisions to support the College’s enrollment goals
• Manage, monitor, and balance the admissions, financial aid, and athletics budgets and actively evaluate expenditures for cost effectiveness.
• Ensure the admissions, athletics, and financial aid departments adhere to all college policies and procedures.

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required, master’s degree strongly desired. A strong background in higher education enrollment with increasing leadership experience is required. Previous experience in a Christian, liberal arts college is highly preferred.   Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities required. Must be familiar with analyzing and using data to drive decision-making. Experience with the CRM Slate and financial aid leveraging is highly preferred. Must have a personal faith in Jesus Christ, commitment to diversity and equity in higher education, and an ability to represent the values of Trinity Christian College.  This position will provide direct support, training, and development to the admissions, athletics, and financial aid teams, with direct reports that include support staff as well as a Director of Financial Aid, Athletics Director, Director of Marketing and Visits, Director of First Year Recruitment, and Director of Transfer, Adult, and Graduate Recruitment.  Coordinates with departments across the College to increase cross-divisional participation in the recruitment process.  The individual in this position will makes decisions independently regarding the development, refinement, and implementation of all enrollment strategies for the traditional undergraduate, adult undergraduate, and graduate programs, as well as athletic and co-curricular recruiting opportunities.   As well as engaging with prospective students, families, and other key constituents throughout the recruitment process, including but not limited to partners at high schools, alums, and local agencies for college-bound students. Builds and maintains relationships with vendors, professional agencies, and other external contacts to further the reach of the admissions office and stay up to date on enrollment trends.
