The Administrative Assistant supports the Dorchester Campus Dean, and the primary responsibilities include providing various complex and responsible administrative support services. Serves as a liaison with other college divisions, students, faculty members, and the community. Oversees the campus-wide office supply inventory and ensures all office equipment and technology remain in working order. Handles multiple projects simultaneously and ensures the front desk provides telephone coverage to meet customer needs during all posted hours.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
This position requires a high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience. Preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year related work experience; or, an associate degree plus three (3) years related work experience; or, high school diploma plus five (5) years related work experience.

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and effective verbal and written communication skills. Candidate will be able to work effectively in a diverse and fast-paced environment and maintain office professionalism while providing quality customer experiences. Experience with office equipment, distribution and collection of data, and arrangement of classroom and meeting space furniture, is essential, as managing multiple priorities and being flexible to meet the extended hours of operation during peak periods. Preferred Qualifications: Previous working experience monitoring class schedules, creating and updating reports, coordinating meetings, and assisting with student services experience is a plus.
