Responsibilities:
Receives incoming calls and route them to the appropriate recipient
Oversees main reception area
Responsible for daily administrative tasks of the human resources department including filing, faxing, copying, and organizing departmental files
Assist in projects, such as; HR events, benefits open enrollment, union enrollment, employee communications and company-wide meetings
Coordinates mailroom and assures that all functions are operational and accurate
Coordinates meetings as needed
Order supplies as required
Maintains confidentiality of all information
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:Education, Licensing, and Certifications :
High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required
Experience:
At least 2 years general office experience required
Administartive HR/Payroll Experience Preferred
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Basic knowledge of all office equipment
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions
Good telephone manner
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage time, and work without constant supervision
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate well via the written word or verbally
Ability to maintain a flexible attitude and approach to assignments
Travel requirement (as a percent)
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Must submit to drug testing and a background check
Will be tested on tools related to job requirements
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
