The Senior Lead Data Steward ensures that data is accurate and available to support the development, implementation and execution of business analytics initiatives and projects. This job owns the assessment, improvement and governance of quality and ongoing fitness-for-purpose of data, ensuring adequate data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes. As a recognized master in data quality and data governance, this job uses expert level knowledge of the end-to-end master data processes and flows to design and implement master data management solutions in order to maintain a common, firm-wide data standard.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation and development of team.
Identifies, sizes and prioritizes business opportunities for improvement through analytics.
Assesses the scope and resources required of various analytics projects and working with management to define necessary resources.
Monitors quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
Oversees the acquisition of data from structured and unstructured sources, while ensuring quality and comprehensiveness of the data.
Manages client relations to ensure that expectations for dashboards are managed, and fulfilled.
Monitors and communicates key performance metrics and operational challenges to management to quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality initiatives or issues.
Oversees implementation of tools and processes to maintain firm-wide data standards.
Assesses the current state of data quality and advises management on optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues.

Required:
Preferred:
7-10 years of Professional experience in data or analytics areas.
7 years of hands-on data analysis, data quality and/or reporting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products like Excel.
Excellent analytical skills, including business and systems analysis.
High energy and a passion for data quality issue remediation and root cause analysis.
Strong written, spoken, and presentation communication skills.
Proven ability to work with complexity and translate multiple sources of data into a clear approach to data analysis and visualization.
Experience in a Financial Services Organization desired.

Base Pay Range: $135,000/yr. – $185,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
