Administrative Assistant
The Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development’s Division of Research Integrity Administration (DRIA) seeks an Administrative Assistant who will assist and support the department in the following duties:
· Schedule events, interviews, and meetings for staff, institutional officials, and committees supporting DRIA functions, to include securing locations, food, and materials/equipment.
· Administratively manage the educational calendar through the utilization of UTK workshop software and other relevant tools.
· Assist with professional development scheduling for DRIA staff.
· Verify and maintain departmental records needed to support DRIA staff and functions.
· Assist with other administrative duties, as needed to support DRIA staff.

Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED
• Two years of office experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Customer service, oral-written communication, time management, teamwork, organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
• Ability to demonstrate commitment to the University’s Code of Conduct
• Ability to handle demanding situations effectively
• Ability to produce accurate and quality results
• Ability to interact with faculty, staff, and administrators respectfully, courteously, and professionally
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of university operating systems such as Banner, Iris, Concur, iMedris, Huron, 25Live, or other institutional administrative systems
• Experience maintaining websites using WordPress or SharePoint
• Familiarity with the university policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Organizational skills needed to handle multiple tasks for numerous people
• Excellent communication skills – written & verbal – when interacting with customers
• Ability to prioritize job duties and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent computer skills
