Job Summary
The Theatre Department at the University of North Georgia invites applications for a Lecturer of Theatre with a focus on Lighting Design and Production. The position’s primary responsibilities will be to teach the lighting design, lighting production, and projections classes as well as run the practicum classes as our production Master Electrician. Candidates would also occasionally design lights or projections for main stage productions, and maintain and purchase equipment as necessary. Ability to also teach stagecraft (rigging/welding/construction) and/or experience in lighting for digital mediums or any other theatrical generalist specialties are a plus. UNG’s Theatre program is one of two institutions, along with Brenau University, comprising the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, a one-of-a-kind collaboration between two North Georgia institutions of higher education.
