Position Summary:
The Videographer will work with departmental and project team members to conceptualize, produce, shoot, and edit engaging digital content in the form of videos (promotional, explainer, social, narrative) consistent with the University of Georgia’s brand style and integrated marketing and communications initiatives. This employee will have experience with videography, video editing, sound editing, color editing, and motion graphics. They will work as a member of the creative services team to produce high-quality visual assets that represent the University of Georgia brand, support integrated media and marketing efforts, and meet high visual standards.The Videographer should be familiar with visual communication principles, theories, and best practices and be familiar with emerging technologies, delivery platforms, and methods.
The Videographer will organize, manage, and maintain multiple equipment storage rooms and spaces in the Marketing & Communications offices and studio. They will assist with annual inventory and prepare video equipment for shoots as needed. This position will transfer shot footage to the server, organize and add metadata information to it. They will also organize and tag new and existing video footage in the department’s media database.
The Videographer will spend considerable time on location. They will be responsible for shooting UGA ceremonies, special events, building dedications, and b-roll footage of faculty, staff, students, classes, and campus scenery both in Athens and at UGA’s satellite campuses.

Field and studio video production assignments. Shooting, concepting, editing, creating graphics, editing sound and color, as well as tagging and archiving on videography storage system(s).
