Position Summary:
This is a highly visible and responsible position within the Office of Research reporting to the Director of Finance and Human Resources (CBO). Responsibilities include collaboration with the director and other senior leaders within the unit to develop, plan, organize, and implement departmental goals, policies, procedures, and operations for the Office of Research. This position directly plans and supervises the activities of a Administrative Manager and Materials Handler Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
Considerable knowledge of the principles, concepts and procedures of business administration as well as knowledge of the university policies and procedures. Considerable knowledge of budgeting and procurement procedures. Ability to supervise and direct subordinate staff and ability to communicate effectively with various levels of personnel. Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
