About the College/Unit/Department:
In 2018, The UGA Tifton Campus began a yearlong Centennial celebration with various
events to commemorate its 100th anniversary of providing updated research to the
community.
Research is done on a wide range of commodities, including cotton, peanuts, vegetables
and turf grass, all of which make agriculture the No. 1 industry in Georgia.
In 2004, a teaching program was initiated and it has been growing ever since. College-level instruction on campus is aimed at undergraduate and graduate-degree level study.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for manual work at the journey level in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and equipment at the UGA Tifton Campus. Work involves the performance of skilled tasks in accordance with standard trade practices in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, equipment and fixtures. Assignments are made in the form of written oral instructions and may be accompanied by sketches and blueprints, although most work results from inspections and troubleshooting. Work is ordinarily performed independently, subject to inspection in process or upon completion.

Duties/Responsibilities:
General Plumbing/Maintenance to include the alteration, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, equipment and fixtures in all UGA-Tifton buildings. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to the repair, replacement and/or installation of toilets, sinks, and water lines.
