Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Position Summary:
Assist in keeping the Athletic Association Buildings clean and presentable to the public. Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, clean glass (doors, windows, cases, etc.) Clean and supply bathroom facilities, set-up and clean-up for special events, dust furnishings, empty trash containers, maintain and store cleaning equipment, shampoo carpets, buff floors, disinfect restrooms and showers, pick-up trash outside buildings and wash and disinfect trash receptacles. Some weekend work expected.
Physical Demands:
Stand; walk; use hands to handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Mop for long periods of time, stand on a 6 foot ladder and change bulbs, operate lavatory cleaning machines that use water. Work some weekends and/or overtime.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform manual work in a variety of cleaning and related duties in an assigned athletic building or area. This includes locker rooms, showers, bathrooms, sidewalks, front steps, and offices. Empty trash and transport to provided trash bins. Effective use of proper methods and materials in cleaning and caring for building areas and equipment.
