Minimum Qualifications:
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred. NATA certification and be eligible for Georgia athletic training licensure. Minimum of two years of related experience in intercollegiate sports medicine program. Knowledge of NCAA and SEC regulations desired.
Position Summary:
Supervise and coordinate athletic training services for student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletic programs – primarily men’s and women’s track and field / cross country – with the University of Georgia Athletic Association (UGAAA), working under the medical direction of the head team physician and in conjunction with a variety of other healthcare providers as well as UGAAA staff (including but not limited to athletic training, physical therapy, athletic coaching, strength and conditioning, sports nutrition, behavioral medicine, academics, and administration).
