Minimum Qualifications:
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Position Summary:
Provides assistance to the Head Football Coach in assigned areas of the intercollegiate football program.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous experience with an intercollegiate football program. Knowledge of existing NCAA and SEC rules and regulations highly preferred and ability to read, analyze and interpret newly implemented rules.
Physical Demands:
Stand; walk; use hands and reach with arms. Sit and talk or hear. The nose level during practice and sporting events can reach a high decibel level. Specific vision abilities involved with this job include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Coach designated position which includes but is not limited to: being dedicated to helping players graduate, behave and grow into responsible adults; recruiting for designated area assigned by the Director of Recruiting; locating, evaluating, and signing players in designated area who are capable of competing for SEC and National Championships, graduate and behave; promoting an atmosphere of compliance.

Evaluate and recruit qualified student-athletes in designated coaching area whose athletic and personal skills make them highly competitive in the SEC and nationally, and whose academic potential makes them good candidates for a meaningful academic experience and graduation at the University of Georgia.

Understand and adhere to NCAA rules specifically related to recruitment and to the on-going performance of duties within an NCAA Division I football program. Ensure compliance with NCAA, SEC and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the football program.

Assist the Head Coach and Academic Advisors in monitoring the academic performance and general well-being of student-athletes; assisting the athletes with community service projects and helping them realize and achieve full potential in each area.
