Job Summary: The Senior Financial Aid Assistant has key responsibilities in the Department of Education’s prescriptive verification process and completes in-depth analytical processes that support the delivery of Title IV aid. This position supports the maintenance of electronic data exchange with the US Department of Education to assure that all information relative to the application process is properly transmitted/received via the Title IV Wide Area Network. This position also uses the Banner Financial Aid system to run complex processes in loading financial aid data and awarding students Title IV aid.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and three (3) years of work experience in a complex, automated, computerized office environment.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet and database management. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Strong organizational skills along with skills in setting and meeting goals and establishing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications: Banner experience preferred.
