Summary/Primary Purpose: Oversee the administrative staff and program operations, including Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI), within the Behavioral Health Services department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plan, implement, and supervise behavioral health administrative staff.
2. Assist staff with program participants in crisis as needed.
3. Responsible to manage PQI efforts in the behavioral health programs to meet established performance targets including goals, objectives, and outcomes for all programs. Collects and analyzes data to assist programs in corrective action to meet targets and improve service delivery.
4. Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure programmatic outcomes are achieved.
5. Establishes annual goals/objectives for the department and programs.
6. Responsible for collection and maintenance of statistics, reports and budget information as needed.
7. Monitor Medicaid, VA and Region 6 billing, program expenditures, income report, and authorize approved expenditures for payment.
8. Assist in developing/maintaining written policies/procedures for programs for submission to Policy and Procedure Committee.
9. Development and evaluation of new program(s)/service(s) to include funding resources, in partnership with internal and external customers.
10. Complete related funding applications and grants for timely submission and ensure reports are submitted according to designated timelines.
11. Responsible to be familiar with community resources and cooperate with these collateral agencies.
12. Active participation in community social service functions, conferences and other events to publicize programs and promote
13. This position is considered “On-call” during after business hours and weekends for department/program emergencies which may include physically returning to the facility as needed.
14. Driving is an essential role of the position.
