Visiting Fellow to gain personal and professional growth by specialized research training and experience under the guidance of Dr. Kai He, a physician-scientist and medical oncologist, the member of Cancer Cellular Therapy Program, Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO), Translational Therapeutic Program and Thoracic Oncology Center within the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Ohio State University. Our lab is focused on defining the genetic and cellular determinants for tumor immune response with implications for biomarker and novel therapeutic development in lung cancer. This lab incorporates both basic biological and translational techniques for preclinical and clinical studies of tumor micro-environment and novel immunotherapies including cell therapy and new immune checkpoint inhibitors. The lab is actively developing next generation immune checkpoint inhibitors and adoptive cell therapies for cancers.
Candidates are encouraged to pursue interests for personal and professional growth within the framework of immuno-oncology, under the mentorship of Dr. He. Members of the research team have opportunities for collaborations within the areas of emphasis including Cell Therapy, Immuno-Genomics, and Translational Immuno-Oncology with novel biomarker and therapeutic discovery and development. Opportunities to involve in clinical and translational study concept and protocol development are also available.
Education / Experience:
A doctoral degree in medicine/immunology/molecular biology/biology /biochemistry/biological chemistry. Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
