Job Title:Senior Academic Program Services Specialist
Department:FAES | Academic Program Administration
Under the direction of the Director – Office for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (OTL&A) within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), in support the of Academic Programs Team this college-level position: has responsibility for primary oversight of the master schedule of course offerings on the Columbus Campus within the Student Information System (SIS), including coordination of communications with academic units, developing and implementing the offering of courses, liaising with the University Registrar, and collaborating with the CFAES Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs to implement course changes and new course offerings in alignment with curriculum requirements; responsible for implementation of new processes/procedures/platforms related to the Master Schedule of Classes and Course Catalog and training academic unit and college personnel on new systems and procedures; collaborates with the CFAES unit scheduling contacts within the Academic Departments and the School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) to maintain and update existing master schedules of course offerings within SIS; serves as an information resource and provides training for academic unit level scheduling contacts and academic unit faculty involved in the development of course offerings; cultivates relationships with academic units in developing strategies for making scheduling adjustments in accordance to established curricular requirements; assures adherence to curricular policies by auditing offerings for compliance with university and college policies; liaises with CFAES Wooster Ohio State ATI scheduling coordinator, coordinators across the university, CFAES Academic Affairs team and academic unit leadership, providing central coordination of curricular offerings in accordance with college procedures; orchestrates the scheduling processes of Mid-West campus general assignment, and college instructional and meeting spaces for event use; develops web-based resources for both the master schedule of course offerings and activity and event scheduling; collaborates to develop scheduling strategies and resources for faculty and staff; assists with student recognition events for the college including logistics, processing of awards, and publicizing recipients; assist with delivery of professional development opportunities for the college’s teaching community including logistics and event planning; furnishes fiscal operations support for the OTL&A team within the Workday system; provides additional office support; may supervise student employees; other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience and 4 years of relevant experience. Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills, as well as exceptional customer service skills; capacity to receive specific directions, detailed instructions and translate them into established processes; self-starter with the ability to function effectively independently as well as in a team setting; a chronicle of effective time management skills in a professional setting; a minimum of 4 years of experience in managing complex processes and projects; experience in higher education setting/academic environment; demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills; experience with the OSU Student Information System (SIS); experience developing and managing the creation of training and instructional materials using Adobe Creative Suite for faculty and staff in higher education; experience with constructing intricate schedules and scheduling space assets; high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Desired Qualifications
Experience in developing web content, updating and upgrading online information in support of maintaining an organizational web presence, including functionality in Drupal and basic HTML; experience scheduling course offerings and space assets within the OSU Student Information System (SIS); a record of demonstrated willingness to acquire necessary skills to work successfully with new systems and new responsibilities; a background of dedicated work ethic, willingness to accept direction, great attention to detail, and a commitment to producing quality work; professional examples of the ability to adapt to change.

The salary range for this job profile is $49,800 – $66,400/annual. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
