Lectu responsibility of this position is the teaching in the Sonography Program for the Division of Radiologic Sciences and Therapy. Teaching will take place during the Spring, Summer and Autumn semester of 2024 (Dec 12, 2023 through December 31 2024). This is a 50%, part-time, 12-month position. Teaching will occur with students in the Sonography/Vascular Technology program. The work assignments will be based on the curriculum of the Sonography program and the teaching needs of the Division.

• Update the master in Carmen Canvas
• Prepare and deliver didactic and lab course material in conjunction with needs identified by the Division Director and the Program Director
• Meet regularly with the Division Director, Program Director, students if needed, and other parties as required.
• Attend faculty meetings
• Conduct classes, laboratories and simulations as appropriate.
• Undertake course management and administration of all assignments and examinations.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist RVT credential
Experience in Radiologic Sciences and Therapy, training, and mentoring students in a variety of courses and laboratories in Radiologic Sciences. Experience in lab and didactic teaching in Sonography and Vascular Technology. Experience with the Canvas LMS.
Desired: Master’s Degree; teaching experience including a record of intentional teaching practice including (a) creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all learners, (b) using new techniques, activities and types of learning, (c) promoting diversity of thought, and (d) promoting open-minded exploration.

Division of Radiologic Sciences and Therapy
The Division of Radiologic Sciences and Therapy prepares students for rewarding careers in Radiography, Radiation Therapy and Sonography/Vascular Technology. Diagnostic medical sonographers and vascular technologists are skilled professionals who operate specialized equipment to conduct tests and create high-quality sonographic images of internal structures of the human body. Physicians review the findings of these examinations to form a medical diagnosis. Sonographers can also be involved during procedures where views of internal structures are acquired in real-time to aid physicians. Upon graduation from the Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Vascular Technology programs, students can sit for the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers credentialing exams in the Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular Technology specialties.
