Job Title:Donor Experience Consultant (College of Engineering)

Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Director of Donor Relations and Annual Giving, the Donor Experience Consultant works with the donor relations team to execute donor relations and stewardship functions for the College of Engineering (COE) with strong emphasis on driving the College’s fundraising efforts forward through donor recognition and engagement efforts surrounding donor gratitude and impact. In addition, this person provides critical support to the development team by managing the gift agreement and endowment description and fund creation/consolidation processes. They will be the College’s primary liaison with the Foundation Gift Agreement and Endowment Services (GAES) team.
Partners with COE’s development and outreach and engagement teams on personally scheduled donor visits and opportunities for donors to engage in meaningful ways that go beyond giving, including exclusive, private events. In addition, acting in close coordination with Advancement leadership they will manage all operational aspects of the College’s campaign activities, including but not limited to assisting in the recruitment, training, and stewardship of campaign volunteers and overseeing the ongoing programming for and logistical operations of the campaign volunteer committee.
The Donor Experience Consultant will require strong collaboration, communication skills (written and verbal) and customer service skills while maintaining a high level of confidentiality as it pertains to knowledge about our donor base and volunteers. They must be able to cultivate strong relationships with diverse populations; be highly motivated, driven, and skilled in managing and organizing their work and time which will include occasional evening and weekend work; and be comfortable and skilled in working directly with many of the College’s top donors and volunteers. This position is expected to be familiar with and able to utilize MS Office programs; be creative, curious, and not afraid to think outside the box about ways to recognize and engage our donors.

This position is a member of the Donor Relations unit within the Engineering Advancement team. Donor Relations is responsible for all gift acknowledgement, required stewardship and scholarship stewardship activities with the Engineering Advancement team. Donor Relations also provides internal support to the Development team to increase their efficiency in working with internal partners at the University Foundation.
Duties and Responsibilities

Manages a variety of critical work processes between Engineering Advancement and the University Foundation including, gift agreement creation, new endowment creation, new fund creation and fund management and the space naming process.

Coordinates and supports the development, logistics and implementation of campaign kick-off, special events and celebrations and on-going campaign committee volunteer engagement, working in close collaboration with Advancement leadership, College and University marketing and events teams to facilitate such events. Assists Advancement leadership on a range of activities that will be critical to the College of Engineering’s campaign success.

Creates opportunities for donors to see the impact of their philanthropy with the College of Engineering, including assisting with impact and scholarship reporting. Assists with all donor gratitude initiatives and events, such as Thank Your Scholarship Donor Day and Scholarship Luncheon.

Plans and executes donor centered events such as high-level major donor events and small, one-off bespoke events.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four (4) years of relevant experience, which may include, customer relations, volunteer management, higher education advancement and/or non-profit experience.
Proficiency with CRM databases and Microsoft suite
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include occasional evenings, weekends and travel.

Master’s degree.
Experience in donor relations or similar field.
Experience in higher education advancement, particularly donor relations or stewardship.
Demonstrated success in building partnerships in a complex environment.
Experience in planning and managing programs and building relationships.

The pay range for this job profile is $62,700 – $83,600 (min – mid). The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
