Job Description
Initiates and implements development and sales strategy for the Association of College & University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I), representing approximately 35% of the association’s annual operating budget. The Director of Development provides direction, coordination, and leadership associated with developing corporate membership, sponsorships, advertising, exhibits and contributions. Identifies new corporate prospects and engages them through the fundraising continuum from solicitation to stewardship while fostering the relationships and developing growth plans for the association’s current corporate partners. Arranges and executes meetings with potential and current individual & corporate prospects.
The Director of Development is responsible for the budget planning for all sponsorship , exhibit , and advertising programs. Serves as primary contact for sponsors and corporate members. Works with several ACUHO-I departments including finance, education, and communications and marketing. Works with volunteer leadership and serves on the Exhibits Committee, Corporate Relations Committee, and as a liaison to the ACUHO-I Foundation Board.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, sales/marketing or related field; 3-5 years experience in sponsorships, exhibition management and advertising required; ability to manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis and determine proper methods of completing projects efficiently; experience in association management systems (AMS) highly desired; the position requires experience in development, marketing, relationship management and customer service. Higher education background is a plus; excellent written and oral communications skills are vital.
Target Hire Range: $73,100-$97,500
This position will be located at our Columbus, OH headquarters, which is just east of the Ohio State’s main campus, with the opportunity for a hybrid or fully virtual work arrangement.
