The Matian Firm, APC Hiring for HR Assistant/Administrative Assistant Job at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

Our office is actively looking to hire an HR Assistance, with a desire to grow within the legal industry. This position must be staffed by an individual who is trustworthy, organized, and works well with people. Discretion and integrity are top priorities. This position requires a true professional who is dedicated, loyal, and has strong attention to detail. In this role, this individual’s primary responsibility is to be the face/voice of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones for the HR department
• Create new hire packets for new hires, and updating changes (i.e.: W-4, address change, etc.)
• Handle employment application intake
• Help arrange meetings, maintaining calendars, etc.
• Assist the HR Department with planning all employee engagement and office events.
• Perform HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance
• Assist employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR procedures
• Assist with new-employee orientations
• Maintain confidential personnel files and personnel actions
• Prepare job descriptions
• Respond to reference checks and verification’s of employment status
• Assist with benefits administration

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)with written and verbal proficiency
• Receptionist experience within the legal field is a significant plus
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Customer service attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets, Google Drive

Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
