Founded in 2007, The Independence Fund is committed to serving the Warfighter Community by providing innovative programs and services to support the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual independence of our servicemembers, combat Veterans, their Caregivers, families, and those Allies who served in combat alongside our troops, through innovative mobility and adaptive technologies and therapies for combat Veterans; suicide prevention; caregiver and family support; and Veteran advocacy with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, other government agencies, federal and state legislators, and other partners.
Job Summary
The Human Resource Manager will plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies, activities, processes and procedures associated with the organization’s conditions of employment, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. The HR Manager will assist the members of the leadership team in recruiting, qualifying, hiring, onboarding and supporting new employees. The HR Manager will also develop and implement programs and services to enrich, cultivate, nurture and expand the talents and capabilities of staff through employee training and coaching. The HR Manager will work with supervisors of staff to ensure equitable job performance assessment and fair employee treatment.

The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and works collaboratively with the Operations Director and Comptroller in the Operations Department. At present, there are no other Human Resources staff to be supervised. At such time as additional HR staff are hired, the Human Resources Manager would provide direct supervision.

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits to be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.
