About the Role

This position will work in all aspects of human resource consulting. The successful candidate will have an abundance of direct, client-facing interaction working on a variety of projects.

The successful candidate will be comfortable in many aspects of HR (recruiting, compliance, benefits, etc), have a positive and outgoing personality, be highly organized, well-versed in Microsoft Office and similar software, and possess a business mindset.

The candidate who is offered this position will be a key decision-maker on strategy and tactics, be expected to build relationships and network throughout the business community, and be committed to personal professional development.

Qualifications

• HR related education, experience, or certification is required. Degrees in business, accounting, finance, HR, or I/O psychology are acceptable. Experience in HR or another closely related business function will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred but not required.
• Experience in public speaking and teaching, presenting findings, and facilitating group discussions.
• Excellent writing ability in crafting correspondence, reports, and memoranda.
• Possess a strong knowledge of MN employment law.

Primary Duties

• Lead recruitment efforts for important positions within client organizations. Our typical engagement on executive search is for positions such as: President/CEO, CFO, Staff Accountant, HR Director, Chief Operating Officer, etc.
• Conduct client consultations on basic compliance matters such as handbooks, employee records, and employee documentation.
• Assist clients with performance management, compensation planning, employee relations and discipline, and exit interviews.
• Provide limited “onsite HR services” at several client locations each week.
• Other duties as assigned.
