Temple University operates two test centers certified by the National College Testing Association that offer testing services to faculty, staff, and the greater Philadelphia community. The Test Manager in the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment manages the activities of testing services, ensuring that internal, test agency, and NCTA policies, procedures, standards and best practices are met. Activities of the Test Manager include but are not limited to managing the administration of paper-based and computer-based tests at Main Campus and satellite sites, processing classroom exam scoring requests by faculty, and supporting the administration of placement assessments, providing high quality and highly secure services. Examples of these activities include, using computer software and equipment to process test data, performing quality checks on test administration activities and scanning requests, corresponding with students, staff, and faculty on placement assessments or other testing requests, enforcing best practices for cash handling and test security, and coordinating testing staff, materials, and technical resources to meet all testing commitments. The Test Manager manages the full-time test coordinator(s), part-time staff and student worker testing staff and is responsible for generating regular and ad hoc managerial reports. The Test Manager is also responsible for supporting equipment for testing services, including computer workstations, scanners, DVR equipment, amongst others. The Test Manager regularly, performs custom configurations of testing workstations and installing updates and software as required by each computer-based testing program. Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of related experience (test administration, higher education, etc.). Demonstrated data analysis and reporting experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
* Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel a must).
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Demonstrated leadership/supervisory skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the proven ability to write effectively without the need of an external editor.
* Ability to develop and enforce sound cash handling policies.
* Strong customer service skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse group of students, faculty and staff.
* Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work in-person at Main Campus and satellite sites regularly.
* Availability to work in-person on weekends and evenings, as well as extended days.
